Working for the Future

TrueBlue, a leading provider in workforce solutions and staffing, was looking to transform itself in the digital age through a mobile app strategy. In 2016, TrueBlue launched an in-market MVP app called JobStack aimed at connecting job seekers, employers, and TrueBlue branches. By the end of the first year, JobStack had gained little traction and was actually causing new pain points for all 3 audiences. TrueBlue brought Prophet on board to evaluate its strategy and provide recommendations on how to better transform.

 
 

INSIGHT

Diagnosing the Current State

Through our expertise in digital transformation, we helped TrueBlue assess JobStack as well as its overall digital strategy. We identified clarity of vision as a core strength and gaps around value proposition, user experience, and data strategy. Data proved to be a particularly critical opportunity to deliver value-add insights, such as criteria for hire and likelihood of an employee being a good match, which would make the app stickier to users.

Plotting the Path Forward

Our assessment fueled the development of a suite of recommendations around how to build on strengths and close existing gaps as TrueBlue continues to evolve its digital business. When combined with the detailed assessment and rubric to track progress and defined KPIs to measure success, TrueBlue is set up to bring its MVP to its next iteration and make the internal shifts required to support the organization’s digital transformation.
